From the sugar cane era in 1902, serving as the general store for the whole Wood Valley Homestead settlement, to growing vegetables – Wood Valley Ranch has been a mainstay in remote Ka'u for generations. Wood Valley is a picturesque land tucked away on the eastern side of Mauna Loa Volcano. This lush, wet land is often draped in misty fog in the mornings and afternoons making it an ideal microclimate for Mamaki.
